Today I am going to run you through my Peloton review.
We got our bike for Christmas as a very generous gift from my parents. David and I have been using religiously since then. Five whole months. And we have loved it! Working out is crucial for my mental health especially during these uncertain times. My goal is to get in 30 mins of exercise every single day and the Peloton has made that so much easier. And while I workout to stay sane, the physical health is a nice added bonus. So with all of that said, I am answering some questions below:
What I love most:
- It’s very compact – about the size of a 4’x6′ yoga mat
- A diverse selection of classes (and it’s not just cycle classes, I have tried yoga classes, weight classes, running classes and dance cardio classes)
- The music – and you can save your favorite songs into Spotify
- The amazing instructors
- Super efficient – you don’t have to leave your house
- Privacy – workout judgement free in the comfort of your home
My favorite instructors:
- Spinning: Ally Love, Cody Rigsby, Robin Arzon
- Strength: Andy Speer, Jess Sims
- Yoga & Meditation: Aditi Shah
- Running: Olivia Amato, Robin Arzon
- Series: Sundays with Love, Full Body Strength
When do I workout?
This has been changing a lot with the crazy times we are in right now. Typically, David works out at 6:00 am so I will do my workout right after him around 7:00 am. Once the quarantine period is over I imagine this will go back to working out at 6:00 am since David will be back to the 5:00 am time slot.
How often do you use Peloton?
I typically do a spin class 2-3x per week and a weight training class 3x per week. I want to start incorporating a yoga class in there too. Their dance cardio classes are fun for a change of pace. Now that the weather is nice, I also like to walk with friends 1-2x per week.
You can read more about my weekly workout routine here. It has changed so much!
Where does our Peloton live in our house?
We have our Peloton in our upstairs playroom. I like having it there in the chance that I want to workout while the kids are awake so they are within eyesight and can entertain themselves. It’s so compact (4′ x 6′) that you could honestly put it anywhere. Some friends have it in their master bedroom, their office, their garage.
Soul Cycle vs. Peloton?
Before moving to Richmond, I was a Soul Cycle junkie. I miss their classes so much and was never able to find anything local to replicate the experience. Peloton is the closest I have gotten to it. That being said, I still much prefer Soul Cycle and if price wasn’t an issue I would chose their classes any day.
Do you have a code?
If you use my code, you will get $100 worth of Peloton clothing and I get the same. The code is A8EFSS. If you have been thinking about investing in a bike, seize the moment. They are offering a 30-day free trial!
